Amber Teething Necklaces from Insipired by Finn (made of Baltic Amber).
These necklaces have been long used in Europe for teething discomfort
helping babies and toddlers stay calmer and more relaxed. Baltic amber can also help ease discomfort from growing pains, diaper rash and eczema.
Baltic amber is the most esteemed type of amber in the world. Baltic Amber is a fossilized resin, not a stone, and comparatively speaking it is much softer than most stones. Among other things, it is a natural pain reliever, an anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant.
It is beneficial to the immune system and helps combat infection and skin
conditions. Amber has been used in Europe as a natural and traditional
remedy and curative for many ailments for centuries. Long ago it was considered one of the leading ‘medicines’ of its time.
When amber is worn on the skin, the skin’s warmth releases trace amounts of healing oils which are absorbed into the skin, this helps reduce inflammation and irritation. These necklaces also reduce drool by 85-95%!
Baltic Amber has some of the highest concentrations of Succinc Acid found in nature, which is a natural component of plant and animal tissue and very important to the body’s cellular metabolism.
For best results the necklaces should be worn as much as possible and worn directly on the skin. These necklaces are made to wear, NOT TO CHEW ON! Children should always be supervised and necklaces should be removed when babies have gone to sleep. The string the amber beads are on is designed to stretch when a good amount of pressure is applied, and break if necessary. Each piece of amber is individually double-knotted on the strand. In the event the strand does break, only one piece of amber should come off the necklace.
Clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid detergents and cleansers as these substances over time will leave a residue on the amber that inhibits the ability to release healing properties into the skin.
Determine Sizing: As long as the necklace is not too snug, the length is a personal preference. A convenient way to measure is to drape a tape measurer or a piece of string around the neck to see what length you are most comfortable with.
Some prefer a shorter length so that the necklace is less likely to get caught on anything & others select longer lengths so that their children can wear one size for a longer period of time - only you can make this choice! We generally recommend that the necklace not be long enough to come over the chin so that your child will not chew on the beads.
Size vary. Generally available in 11", 12", 13" and 14" lengths, sometimes in 1/2 lengths. Lengths can vary by 1/4". Each necklace has a screw close clasp.
