Fitted Diapers
are soft
fabric diapers that are pre-
formed (unlike prefolds and
flats). These diapers are very
breathable, however, they do
require that a diaper
cover be used
on top to keep them
completely waterproof. In
summer months and warmer
climates many parents let
their babies go coverless.
Going coverless let's you
know instantly when baby has
peed. This is a great option
if your baby is suffering from
a rash since the diaper
themselves are very
breathable when there is no
cover on. Going coverless
when you are
helping your baby to potty
learn, is also a great idea!
A fitted
diaper can be made out of
cotton, hemp, bamboo, or any
combination of those
materials. A fitted diaper has
elastized legs and will fasten
shut with either snaps or
velcro, making it very easy to
put on baby. A fitted diaper
that also has a pocket can be
used unstuffed. The pocket is
there to be used if you need
to increase the absorbency of
the diaper. A contoured
diaper is the same as a fitted,
but has no snap or velcro to
keep it closed. |
